We do a fair share of messy craft and cooking projects at home and away and there is usually a meltdown or two when it comes time for clean up. The joys of being mom to a 4-year old… When Swiffer invited us to come test out their new Swiffer Sweep and Trap at Make Meaning, one of our favorite NYC spots to get crafty (think pottery, soaps, cookies and candles) I was excited to test out the new Swiffer and my daughter was excited make a mess. Win, win!
The kids put on their cute Swiffer aprons and went to work making candy necklaces and decorating cookies with fondant, edible markers and sugary decorations. It was a dream come true for little G who loves anything crafty or sweet. The grown ups and kids got to test drive the new Swiffer Sweep and Trap which picks up big chunky messes like cereal as well as smaller items like glitter and traps them in a removable bin. No batteries or cords, no bending down with a dustpan, no dragging the vacuum out of the closet and perfect for my wood floors, it was love at first push.
For the grand finale, singer, songwriter and mom Jewel gave a private performance of the “Clean Up Song” which will be available for free download on www.facebook.com/swiffer, along with the video of her performance. Clean up, clean up everybody clean up…
Have a great mess-free weekend!
Note: Thanks to Swiffer and Make Meaning for inviting us to the event and providing us with a goody bag. All opinions are my own.
